Proper maintenance prevents these defects before they reach the vehicle.

Initial Flushing

Start by depressurizing the gun and removing the paint cup. Empty remaining coating and rinse the cup with the correct solvent or cleaner for the material system. Pull the trigger during the first rinse so cleaner moves through the fluid passage. Do not soak the entire gun body unless the manufacturer allows it. Long soaking can damage internal seals, packing, and lubricated parts.
